Northpointe Academy's Origin
Northpointe Academy was established in 2005 when the closing of St. Benedict School prompted parents, staff and community members to rally together to save the school. Parents wanted the quality of education they had come to expect from St. Benedict and the technological advances they could expect from a modern charter school. Northpointe opened under a charter authorized by Highland Park Public Schools.
The mission of Northpointe Academy is to provide a comprehensive education for all students in a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment. We celebrate positive relationships, respect, and trust among the members of our school community. Students will have the opportunities to become productive citizens and lifelong learners. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved in our students' learning.
Northpointe Academy will be the quality choice in education, a place where collaboration, uniqueness, and diversity are celebrated. Nurturing facilitators will challenge students to become problem solvers and self-directed learners enabling all of them to achieve their full potential as contributing members of society. Our future begins here!
